Navajo Tacos and Show and Tell

About a week ago I discovered I have quite a following (forgive my indulgence but I was quite proud). I discovered about 5 or so readers of my blog, and made it a point in my mind to make a post about my discovery, however somehow it managed to slip from my memory momentarily, so let me apologize to the staff ladies at Rocky Mountain Junior High for my lapse in courtesy.

Dewy and I had the fantastic opportunity to eat lunch with his darling mother at her work. I haven't had school lunch since... well... junior high I bet, and I found it was surprisingly better than I remember. Navajo Tacos. Scrumptious. We met up with Nan at the school and I could not have been even slightly prepared for what happened. As we entered the office I felt like I had walked back into pre-school. Remember show and tell day? When everyone scrounged around their toyboxes to find the most impressive and up to date action figure? I was to be that action figure. Now don't get me wrong.. I absolutely adore attention.. thrive on it even, however I found my face getting redder by the minute as sweet lady after sweet lady grabbed my cheeks and gushed over me to Dewy. Please ladies, keep those comments flowing.. the kid could back out at anytime still. I need your help until I have him hog tied for eternity. Anyway... We ate lunch and then I was taken down the hall to meet who I was told was to be my arch nemisis. There is a certain teacher out at the junior high who is in love with my fiance. My palms perspired as we opened the door to her classroom, however when said teacher appeared at the doorway all fears melted away as she made me promise and solemly swear to take care of Dewy for he was supposed to be for her. What a sweet lady. The trip ended with me learning how to make sneaky purchases that Dewy couldn't track and left me feeling like the luckiest gal on the block.
