girls day.

When we finally got to Texas we had some serious fun having.

Thursday morning we woke up with every intention of going to SeaWorld. We all got ready, looked outside, and BAM... pouring rain. Anyone surprised? Not me.

We debated about going. We call SeaWorld. Due to inclement weather they were delaying their opening time. It was a 2 hour drive, and not really worth the risk of getting there and finding it closed. We reverted to plan B. Girls Day.

Girls Day [gurlz dey]- n.
Annual occurance in the Tuckett Family in which each of the sisters take turns hosting a fun filled day where all men and boys are excluded and all females in the family are present.

This year was Tina's turn, and since she lives in Texas it was exceptionally appropriate to host it while everyone was already there. All us womenfolk piled into cars and drove for the biggest outlet mall in the country. We started our shopping day at about 11, broke for lunch around 3, and started back shopping until after 7. Best. Shopping. Day. Ever. I got more than I needed (which was probably nothing if we are being honest with ourselves) and even went against the rules of girls day and bought some prizes for the hubs. We had a blast, and it was even pouring rain. That adorable picture of me (don't be jealous) is demonstrating my abhorrance at the rain. Charming. I know.

At lunch we stopped in at a place called Centerpoint Station. Adorable. Its a boutique that I would shop at if I was rich (Cowboy boots: $510--not lying) and a little restaurant in the back. When we walked in they announced that it was "carnival day" and if we would just fill out a slip of paper with our name and phone number on it we would first get a free prize, and second be entered in a drawing that was happening every 10 minutes with spectacular items as prizes.

We all entered, got an adorable fabric coin purse thing (still not sure what it is, but who cares cause its cute) and went back to order lunch. All of a sudden they announce the winner: "Tamara Reeves" We all start wigging out. "AUNT TAMI! AUNT TAMI YOU WON!! She is now the proud owner of a $90 purse. I wanted to steal it. As lunch went on Tami's two daughters McKell and Toni both won prizes and so did cousin Alexis. Hodges didn't win squat. Keep that luck on comin'.
Those boots that Gentrie is holding are hands down the most fantastic boots I have ever beheld. I told Nan if she would buy them right then and there I would pop out a grandbaby to wear them. She didn't take me seriously. I need those boots. Not want, NEED.
The fun didn't stop at 7 when the shopping did. Girls "day" turned into girls "dayS." Stay tuned for the most phenominal place you will ever see. I swear it. I would move right in.
