she can see.

I'm being harassed about not having a Kaylee update on here. Everyone take a deep breath already... here you go.

For about 5 days Kaylee saw absolutely no progress, which had her VERY frustrated. Not last Friday, but the Friday before she woke up and could see red. She thought she saw red for a minute the week before but it went away, however this particular Friday there was no questioning it. The red was there and it was there to stay. I think I already blogged this... Moving on...

The following Wednesday she woke up able to see purple! Thanks Angela for making her toes purple and glittery, cause now she appreciates them. Then on Friday while I was at work Koo, which is what my family calls Kaylee, shot me a text and said "I CAN SEE!!" While she had been able to develop new color recognition, her ability to see details and faces was still atrocious. We attributed her lack of memory and recognition of people to be because she couldn't see (obviously) but as of Friday she could see faces in the pictures that were all over her room. As far as knowing who those people are, she could recognize that they looked familiar, and possibly guess what role they played in her life. Names were still hazy, but they are coming along nicely.

Crazy thing. All this improvement happened within about a week, and right around the time of fast Sunday. I have gotten messages on FB from her friends and peers at school explaining how they fasted. My own ward dedicated their fasts to her, and none of it was in vain. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I'm going to throw a little disclaimer in here...
The post about Lee and Rachel McAdams was entirely sarcastic. Do we have crushes on them? YES. Would we ever do anything about them? Obviously not. Sometimes I say inappropriate things, and sometimes they are super funny. This was one of those times. I love Lee. Dewy loves Rachel. That might be inappropriate. Oh well. Its my blog and I'll write if I want to.

Yeah that is really good news. I saw her at our dance practice and said hi, but I don't think she recognized me :( I am glad to hear things are getting better and better each day!!
