crafty me.

The story of how these came about is way better than the actual product. I planned to make a little something for a couple in our ward who is expecting a baby. We hang out with them. They are pretty cool. Anyway... wanted to watch TV with the hubs while I crafted, only problem was I needed a plug so I could use the handy dandy glue gun. The only accessible plug in the room is right by the TV. I had to sit in a place that put my head right in the way of Dewy's vision of the TV. He wasn't impressed.

After figuring that my planned project was failing in a hurry, and hearing Dewy complain multiple times about not being able to see the game, I knew I had to come up with something to make so as to keep blocking the television and as such annoying the hubs. Here is what I came up with. There honestly was no rhyme or reason to how they came about.

Dewy said pinning them on my sweater was lame. He said it looked stupid.
Too bad I'm too awesome to care if it looks stupid... Do you think it looks stupid?

I have been pondering the idea of pinning flowers and such to my shirts. Now I shall.

I hope a random comment from a total stranger won't freak you out, but I'm not TOTALLY a stranger. I stumbled on to your blog by going through Kirsten Hansen Reeves blog (her dad is my second cousin) to Brooke and Ben's blog, and then to yours, and suddenly thought "HOLY CRAP! I know these people!" My husband's dad was Larry's roommate at BYU about 300 years ago, and the families have been tight ever since. My hub (Scott) and Nanette are the same age. We used to have awesome parties with the Tucketts. So see? I'm not really a stranger after all. Anyway, I just couldn't resist leaving a comment, and tell your mom-in-law "hi" from Scott and Kathy Jones. That's all.
