Winter Girls Camp

No phrase gets me more excited than these two simple words: Girls Camp.

This weekend I had the chance to magnify (or just fulfill... whatever) my calling as Ward Camp Director. We took the Young Women up to the Bishop's cabin for an overnighter packed with fun. We made the drive up on Friday evening to the cabin which is just passed Park City. When we got to the mountain we had to park our cars and snow mobile up the rest of the way. I had downed a Diet Dr. Pepper on our way there and lets just say my bladder was screaming at me. I ran to this HUGE house that was near the place we parked our cars and banged on the door. This poor unsuspecting lady answered and gawked at me as I, to the surprise of the girls, sought out her restroom. So classy.

We shuttled up, ate dinner (which was freaking fantastic) and got in our swim suits. There is a natural hot spring a little bit away from the cabin and that was to be the nights activity. When we got there I noticed a couple cars nearby and it occurred to me that it was 10 pm on a Friday night. DATE NIGHT. Needless to say, we crashed some unsuspecting couples' party. We hung out for about a half hour in the steaming hot water (seriously if you put your face near the water you got an awesome facial...look at the picture... talk about steamy) until a parade of about 12 cars showed up and dumped off a ton of half wasted half nakes people. Even classier.
We left and went back to throw a birthday party for one of the girls in our ward who spent her 16th birthday playing Catchphrase and Nurts with people in her ward. What a champ. Saturday we snowmobiled and watched Enchanted, cleaned, packed up and headed for home. It was a nice little getaway.
