Home Sweet Home

Dewy and I officially have a place to live. Funny how things happen like that. We went from having never looked at houses and not a clue about where we wanted to live to locking away a humble abode in a matter of 3 days. How great.

Dewy and I will be living in North Ogden (about 2.54 minutes from my work--hoorah!) in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom duplex. The place is brand new inside and our landlord is a darling older lady who, when I met her, was wearing a bright orange sweat suit and bright orange lipstick. I think I just found a new friend. Our rent is so affordable its a complete joke, and the place kind of just fell into our laps. My lovely little friend and co-worker Ally and her husband (who is equally lovely but not my co-worker) used to live in said duplex, but have moved on to purchasing their own home. Some renters quickly moved in and stayed for a week before being offered a sweet deal of homesitting for a relative for a year or two and as such left my future home vacant. We caught wind of the news before the darling landlord could even put up and sign and it was ours in a matter of two and a half days. Boo for having to pay rent for April and May when no one will live there, but who freaking cares? I have a home, I have a future husband, and I only have to wait til June 17th. Such a long time. I think I'll make a chain. Like you did in elementary for Christmas time. Only instead of red and green I'll pick something prettier and instead of paper maybe I'll do chocolate like an advent calendar... or maybe carrots. Boo wedding dresses. Boo.
